Kent Wedding Photographer

Catherine Hill

To me photography is all about being natural and spontaneous and producing beautiful, timeless images. I truly believe in the power of story telling and how those special, unrepeatable moments of your wedding day, captured well, will always be an amazing reminder now and for generations to come of your wedding day. Your images will be a record of one of the most significant days of your lives, therefore, I also believe that this one area where compromises shouldn’t be made.

Based in Kent, I have a passion for creating warm, honest images which I craft to produce a unique record of your special day. My style is a mix of detail for atmosphere, reportage that captures the joy and emotion, and few composed shots which all adds up to telling a story of your day. I shoot in an unobtrusive, discreet way, blending in with your guests and shooting in the background.

With you from the prep through to the party, it’ll be like having a guest with a camera. My whole approach is based around blending in, being unobtrusive and friendly, and letting the wedding flow naturally.

I’m a husband, an avid coffee drinker, and a crazy dog person who loves being outside in nature. I’m lucky to be based in Cornwall and love that my work takes me to so many amazing locations to meet and photograph so many amazing couples and tell a small part of their story. Most couples that book me are pretty relaxed and the idea of elaborate posed images makes them cringe. Adventurous and outdoorsy, but also happy curled up on a sofa watching a good film. If that sounds a bit like you, feel free to get in touch for a coffee and a chat.
