I’m Nick and I am a full-time wedding photographer based in Epsom in Surrey. Before photographing weddings I was a photojournalist for The Times. Although I was based in London, my assignments took me all over the world including the front lines in Afghanistan and Iraq.
My years of valuable experience as a photojournalist has shaped my approach to wedding photography. I am a story-teller documenting real moments without influencing the unfolding events. That means I don’t stage shots and I don’t ask people to pose. I believe that natural, candid shots of you and your guests will evoke more memories through the years.
Alongside the unposed natural moments we will take some time out for some portraits of the two of you. I’ll keep this bit relaxed and spontaneous too, most of the time you’ll be chatting and laughing together so it won’t feel like posing! We can of course do some family groups too.
When I’m not photographing weddings (or editing them in my office!) I’ll be spending family time with my two little boys – which normally involves getting muddy building dens in the woods by our house. I love running and cycling and I also have a pilot’s licence which has taken me on flying adventures around Europe and Africa.
I’m always happy to meet for a chat, I can show you some albums and I’d love to hear more about your wedding plans. If it’s not possible then there’s always the Skype option!
